I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes to each and every one of the graduates who have worked very hard over the years to get here. Take a moment to reminisce your journey thus far because your time at The One Academy is one that you will surely remember throughout your years.
Despite facing a pandemic that brings its own set of challenges, this exhibition that you have put together is proof that you and your team have persevered against the odds, resulting in a terrific showcase of knowledge gained and creativity. As you step foot into the real world, believe in yourself and all that you have to offer, success will surely come.
Never fear challenges or failure and remember, it all comes down to attitude. Good service should always be followed by good attitude. It has been a long journey with bitters and sweets, and here, you have finally made it to this very special and meaningful moment – Graduation from Illustration course in The One Academy Penang. This pandemic has affected all of us globally, but we are glad to see that your positivity takes control of the situation, even making difficult decisions, just to cope with this situation. With that, we witnessed that you are nurturing as young talented artists, but you also show your true PASSION towards art.

Congratulations on graduating! I am more than honoured to work together with you, and bring our journey to a fruitful end. First and foremost, I’d like to express my gratitude to all of our lecturers for their patience and kindness, as well as for guiding us whenever we needed it. Also, I’m immensely grateful for our loving families and friends who believed in us and supported our dreams. Finally, I’d like to thank all my classmates for the wonderful memories we shared while working toward our common goals.
These 3 years allowed us to learn tremendously. It’s amazing how much has changed since we first entered this school. I hope you can leave TOAP knowing you’ve matured into the person you aspired to be. We all know that this path we chose is difficult, but with our ability to grow and adapt, we will make it through. Surely, we’ve all experienced stress that led to burnout; leaving us feeling as if we’d lost our purpose. In these times, I hope that you have passion, and also a strategy. You have the ability and responsibility to listen to the dissent within yourself. With that, my dearest friends, ask not what opportunities will fall upon us, but what we can do to create them.
